Hurricane Daniel Headed for Hawaii

Author: Lance Winslow

So far, The 2006 Atlantic Tropical Hurricane Season is off to a very slow start with only two tropical storms; Tropical Storm Alberto and Tropical Storm Beryl. Next up will be Hurricane Chris. But in the Pacific Ocean we see a much different set of circumstances in fact, we already have a Super Hurricane brewing and headed towards Hawaii.

Currently, Hurricane Daniel is 1000 miles away from Hawaii, but headed straight for it with Category IV winds. The Hurricane is strengthening and traveling at only 13 mph and it could change course. Nevertheless, a hurricane of that magnitude could do severe damage to the Hawaiian Islands if it hits dead center. July and August are always strong hurricane months in both the Pacific and the Atlantic Ocean.

Of course, this year is nothing compared to the 2005 Atlantic Tropical Hurricane Season, which set all the records for the most named storms, the longest hurricane season and three of the most powerful hurricanes ever in the history of Atlantic hurricane season records.

Hurricane Danielle could lead devastate and destroy cities in Hawaii if it hits. Currently it is making a be lying directly for the Hawaiian Islands, although things could change in the future and blow it off course. Please consider all this in 2006.
