Rosary Bracelets: Show Your Faith In a Cool New Way

Author: Casey Buell

Rosary beads have long been an essential part of our religious lives. Traditionally rosary beads are a circular string of beads worn as a necklace. But now there is a cool new way to wear rosary beads; a rosary bracelet!

A rosary bracelet is a bracelet with eleven beads (ten Hail Mary, one Our Father), used to count off the prayers of the rosary, as well as a crucifix and a Miraculous Medal. By wearing your rosary bracelet, not only are you able to keep your daily prayers, you are able to express your faith to the world!

The Miraculous Medal:

One of the most important parts of your rosary bracelet is the Miraculous Medal. A stunning medal with the depiction of the Blessed Virgin, and the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary, the Miraculous Medal has a beautiful and inspiring story behind it.

The Miraculous Medal was designed by the Blessed Virgin Herself! Over the course of three visions Our Lady manifested the Medal to Saint Catherine Laboure in the motherhouse of the Daughters of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul and St. Louise de Marillac, in Paris. Catherine saw Our Lady standing on a globe, with dazzling rays of light streaming from her outstretched hands. Framing the figure was an inscription: O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee. Then Mary spoke to Catherine: "Have a medal struck upon this model. Those who wear it will receive great graces. The vision then seemed to turn to show the reverse of the Medal: the letter M surmounted by a cross with a bar at its base; below this monogram, the Sacred Heart of Jesus crowned with thorns, and the Immaculate Heart of Mary pierced with a sword. Two years later, with the permission of the Church, the first Miraculous Medals were struck, and distributed throughout Paris. Soon word of the medals, and the blessings bestowed upon those who wore them, spread, and it wasnt long before the Miraculous Medal was being distributed all around the world.

Customize your rosary bracelet:

A rosary bracelet is not only an object of faith, but also a cool fashion statement. Fads may come and go, but faith is always in style. One of the best things about your rosary bracelet is that it can be customized! You choose whether you want your crucifix and Miraculous Medal in silver or gold. You choose whether you want your rosary beads to be made of amethyst, jade, turquoise, jasper, pearl, or any number of other precious gems. You can even choose the shape of your beads! With so many options its easy to find a rosary bracelet thats all your own. Here is a good page to view the different styles available in a rosary bracelet.

Where is the best place to purchase a rosary bracelet:

To get an idea of the different styles and prices that are available in a rosary bracelet it is more convenient to view them online before shopping around at local jewelry or religious stores.

Retail jewelers and religious outlets will sometimes carry a small selection of rosary bracelets, but you are most apt to find a greater selection online. Just type "rosary bracelet" into an Internet search engine like Google or Yahoo and you will find several reliable websites that specialize in rosary bracelets.

The cost of a rosary bracelet is dependant upon many variables, such as the type and size of gemstone or precious metal used. On average a rosary bracelet should cost about $60 to $200, but can get far more expensive.

Faith and fashion:

Prayer is the means by which we cleanse our souls, and rosary beads are used to count those prayers. Rosary beads are highly personal objects of faith, but that doesnt mean they cant also be fashionable. With a rosary bracelet you are able to keep your daily prayers, and look good while doing it!
