Which Lunesta dosage is best for me?

Lunesta is basically used to treat symptoms of Insomnia. Your doctor will decide the right dose for you after considering all factors, for using Lunesta. Overdose and misadministration of Lunesta may lead to side effects and complications. To avoid such situation always use Lunesta as prescribed by your physician. Never purchase and use Lunesta as other over-the-counter medicines. Discuss about pros and cons of using Lunesta with your doctor or pharmacist.

Usually Lunesta is prescribed for short duration of a week or two weeks. If you have chronic sleep problems, you may need high dose of extended treatment with Lunesta. It is advisable to consult your doctor if you do not get satisfactory results within first two weeks after you start using Lunesta. Lunesta is generally available in different mg potencies like 1mg, 2mg and 3 mg. Commonly Lunesta is administered in the form of a tablet. After considering your physical condition, intake of other medicines and nature of your symptoms, your doctor will decide Lunesta dose for you.

You may have to discontinue the usage of Lunesta if you experience certain serious side effects. Also you may not be able to take Lunesta if you are suffering certain diseases like liver disorder or using other sedatives to treat your other ailments. Use of Lunesta during pregnancy and nursing baby is also restricted.

Though Lunesta is considered as safe sleeping medicine you must be cautious while taking it. If mis-administered, Lunesta may lead to serious side effects like unconsciousness, memory loss, abnormal behavior or some other symptoms. Never take a chance by using Lunesta as per your requirement and desire unless prescribed by your practitioner.
