For those who often find fault in world religions there is a verse in the Christian religion, which is utterly bogus and should be discussed. That is the verse of Matthew 7:11 the biblical religious literature seems to indicate that since you as a parent will give gifts to your children, don't you think that God in heaven will give you even grander gifts if you ask him? That sure sounds a lot like Santa Claus to me. Isn't it interesting that children of five years old and less often question the existence of Santa Claus, because it just doesn't sound right and then in the Bible here comes Matthew in 7:11 , with such a completely bogus notion. If you want something you should go down to 711 and buy it, why do you need to ask God for it. Especially a nonexistent invisible friend, which only exists in Biblical literature? Unbelievable the stuff that humans can be led to believe. One person recently stated that prayer to a God was good for the human brain and a relieved stress and here is another reason purported that people should pray. Because they can get free stuff. What a bunch of baloney the Bible tells people to pray to get free stuff. No wonder so many governments and civilizations are turning towards socialism. Instead of working to help propel the civilization to get those things, which you desire and deserve these people actually believe they can pray and God will give them a what? A new Ferrari, Hummer, Girlfriend? What? What are all these people praying for anyway? Oh Lord oh mighty, give me more Free Stuff, I am lazy and schizophrenic and want more stuff, Amen! Whatever? You know personally I like Santa Clause so much better, he has a cool ride, diabetes and some very nice animals that are not sacrificed for the parties. Consider all this in 2006. |
